An interesting beer with a rather discreet side of rye, giving a smooth side, not so fruity for the kind of cereal, even though it is a generous beer with notes of rye, roasted malt, coffee, dry, aromatic with a final touch of hop, 10.05.21, at Epalinges.

Gekocht bij Burg Bieren. Eenmaal thuis was ik even bang dat dit bier al 4 of 5 jaar oud was (in blik!), maar het lijkt uit 2023 te zijn, evenzogoed hoog tijd om het te drinken. Schenkt als modder, zeer troebel (kan ook zijn omdat ik het eergisteren gekocht en vervoerd heb), een beetje oranjebruine kleur en een beige kraag die snel inzakt tot een patch. Geur is zoet (karamel/toffee), fruit, fruitsnoepjes. Zelfs nog wat fruitiger in de mond. Smaak is gemiddeld zoet maar ook vrij bitter, wat houtig. Redelijke body, medium tot vol. Goede koolzuurprikkeling. Bitterheid blijft hangen, niet astringent. Toch nog prima, gelukkig.

Thanks Isabel for this beer, nice present for my stay at Barendrecht. Hot weather and I drank this beer at night, after 4 hours delay from Germany. Solid oatmeal stout, nutty, chocolate, roasty, smooth coffee, sweet, bitter, subtle, drank it for days ago, loving the oat to brew the beers in general.

Draught. A bit unclear yellow color, white head. Aroma and flavor are lightly malts, hoppy bitters, bitter, hayish hoppy. Decent body and carbonation.
