Bottle at home. Slight hazy golden with some bubbles. Lots of fresh apple, hay, cellar dust, apple skins, light berries, some fresh grass and flowers. I’d say it’s medium juicy with plenty of dry cellar notes as well. Under medium sweet, light bitter. Almost medium bodied, medium dry and quite nice very fine fizzy carbonation. Decent for a cider.

Bottle at Vrijplaats Leiden. Slight hazy light golden with no head. Surprisingly quite some apple up front, quite juicy but also some dusty apple peel. Then there’s the pears coming in, very dry, it’s more dried pear than juice. Quite some dank cellar notes and brut champagne. Soft dust and sulfite. Very light sweet with a slight metallic dusty finish. Light bodied, very dry and almost no carbonation. I don’t really get the low ratings, it’s an OK though not great brut Perry.

330ml bottle, from trade with the band MonsterMagnet. Many thanks! Pours hazy gold with a head of foam. Sweet green apple / cider farm aroma. Taste is bright and sweet, in fact more flavoursome than expected with a tart apple bite and a pushy acidity. Some farmhouse moments with light tannin scuzz, but essentially its all about the big sharp sweet apple fruit. Not bad.

Bottle sample @ Van Moll fest 2015, Eindhoven. Orangée, pas de col. Arôme donne un côté pomme résiduel sucré qui perce en rétro et allié à des notes vertes. Palais de pomme restant assez douce. Note de pomme pressée, frais avec un léger côté âcre. Le tout est plaisant et gardant une certaine note de chaire.

Dark golden colour. Pleasant aroma containing some floral notes. Flavour is basic medium sweet apple. Pleasant but lacks depth and complexity and is barely better than macro produced cider as a result.

330 ml. bottle sampled @ Van Moll Fest 2015. Near clear deep golden,… Nose is mellow sweetish orange juice, sweet sugary peel & some gummy beers. Taste is sweet orange & apples, gummy bears, some sugar, plenty of orange sorbet, light odd bitter note in the finish. Body is akin to melded sorbet. Sweet & candy-like but I liked it.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared by Dutchdrebus. Clear light orange golden color, very small off-white head. Smell and taste apples, sweet white wine, sweet, medium dry. Medium dry to dry finish. Hmm not bad actually.

Bottle @ home. Slightly hazy yellow to amber colour with a small white head. Smells like a blow up swimming pool, apple, sweet. Tastes apple, slightly honey, sweet, slightly salty somehow. Medium body, soft carbo. Mediocre beer.

Bottle from Barrique. Slightly hazy light yellow coloured. Nose is pear, slight sweetness, fairly sour, a bit artificial. Flavour has pear, some sourness, bit of apple. Again a bit artificial. Good thing this is not overly sweet, as most perrys are. All in all a good attempt, would love to see more of these in NL.

Fonefan 241014. Pale golden colour with no head. Aroma is fruit, pear, sugar. Flavour is pear, sugar, fruit, hint of apple. Boring perry.
