440ml can. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a short-lived, frothy off-white head. The aroma is roasted malt, pumpkin. The flavour is moderate liquorice bitter, with a smooth, herbal, dry pumpkin, light liquorice bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Pours black with quickly fading fizzy beige top. Aroma is mixed spice galore with some sweet vanilla notes. Taste has a sweet milky chocolate with cinnamon, nutmeg and then the ginger warmth kicks in with a subtle roast. A bit too light bodied and carbonated. Not great.

Can from Home Bargains, Salford. Black with a very thin head. Slightly denser tasting than expected for its strength, but this does serve to give the brew its pudding texture and taste with custard coming across through some pleasant vanilla notes.
