Description
The first written records of the brewery in Černá Hora are dated 1530. In the following centuries the brewery was owned by different aristocratic families. In 1896 an agrarian corporation was founded which operated the brewery till it was nationalized in 1948. In 1996 the brewery becomes private property corporation with the name Pivovar Černá Hora. In 2010 the brewery became the seventh brewery in a row to become a part of the Pivovary Lobkowicz brewery group, the aim of which is to maintain the tradition of brewing good beer in Bohemian and Moravian regional breweries.

500ml bootle. Light unclear golden orange color with off white head. Malty aroma, grainy, light caramel, bready, honey. Sweet and light bitter taste like aroma. Light to medium thin to oily body with soft carbonation.

Bottle. Not bad as far as nonalcoholic beers go. The extra maltiness which makes it polotmavy also make the body fuller and overall impression closer to actual beer.

Draft. Dark brown with garnet color, creamy foam. Pleasant aroma: sweet jam, caramel and roasted malt. Taste: slightly sweet, caramel, mild fruitiness and roasted malt, kvass and a hint of hop bitterness, good dark lager.

Clear, golden. There’s a fair amount of honey in the aroma but less in the flavour. Bitter, Pils-esque finish.

Tap. Blackish with a garnet tint, creamy thick head. Pleasant aroma of sweet jam, caramel, and toasted malt. Taste: slightly sweet, strong caramel, light fruitiness, and a burnt note, kvass, and a hint of hop bitterness.

Draught @ U Slovanske Lipy, Prague. Pours vvery dark brown with a creamy light brown head, lacings. Aroma of malt, light roasted, light coffee, taost, hints of licorice. Flavor is malt, light sweet, toast, light coffee, licorice, little chocolate. 230815
