Sampled from bottle at Floris’s leaving tasting. Hazy yellow with white head. Sweet malts, wheat, tropical fruit, pineapple, melon, weedy and grassy hops. Moderate sweet and bitter. Can shared for Floris’s Leaving Beers at Gekke Geit. Very cloudy orange with an off white head. Aroma of herbal hops, tropical fruit, soft citrus and light wheat. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Small tan head over virtually black beer. Coffee, black chocolate, super-intense, cacao, vanilla. Coffee pralines, perfect marriage between chocolate & coffee, mocha, vanilla an a bit of holly. Very thick, slick, feels better bodied than it probably is; good carbonaton. OK, but rather for the sweet tooth. 8/4/7/4/14

16 oz can poured, with much thanks to Chris for the share! With the IPA competition scorching right now, and the hazy ones popping up everywhere in the PNW, it’s fantastic timing to try a bunch of these to compare. Thick, juicy, dense orange cream pour. Probably one of the most juice like pours I’ve seen. Fruit smoothie aroma, just packed with tropical juicy hops. Unreal. Has a slightly sweet side to this, tropical fruit, orange, tangerine, slight lingering bitter underneath the cream. Very good stuff to say the least.

L42 Bottleshare. Big thanks to Leighton for the can. Cloudy gold beer, decent cream colour head. Palate is light, dry and fairly crisp. Intense fresh hop spice burns the tongue. Orange and a little lemon citrus. Good tropical fruits. Light dry finish finds the hop spice building even more. Intensely hop spicy DIPA.

Quite hazy, peach-to-maize golden body is not soupy and has a small, but fairly dense, white head atop showing moderate retention.
Soft spice with lush, juicy, greenery showcases a marvelously aromatic hop profile, especially given the age of the can. Clean, without the massive ester character that I feel plagued Curiosity 35. Still has the juicy watermelon that is the house character but it’s much more integrated. As well, papaya, nectarine, key lime and light mango all join in and it’s juice and spice galore with cracker/biscuit malt character gently balancing. Clean, with no alcohol noted.
The flavor comes on slow at first, opening with lime, orange and light nectarine juiciness. Mild bitterness enters and the incredibly tight carbonation disperses everything across the palate perfectly as gentle, but succulent malts add dainty honey and cracker but stay mostly out of the way. There is a crescendo of fruit character as the finish approaches and juiciness constantly builds up on the palate, only to be gently dispersed by the pleasing biterness, light citrus and spice character. Rinse and repeat. Very succulent and elegant IPA here with moderate-to-low house ester character, no alcohol and no flaw or resin. Phenomenal stuff, definitely up there with 28 and 32 as the best of the last year.

Can from TJ, thanks so much!, drunk 5/20/17. Quite hazy, though not soupy, maize-golden body is topped by a small-to-medium-sized, white head showing moderate retention. Very heavy yeast profile in this one screams bubble gum and the watermelon and mango-rich hops almost seem to play second fiddle here. It’s immaculately clean, free from resin and alcohol, as always, from the masters, but I can’t help being just a bit underwhelmed. Kind of a regurgitated, ubiquitous feel to it, especially being in a series that’s about pushing forward. But I’ll be the first to admit I may have missed something here, if that’s the case. Soft, malty, well-attenuated texture with gentle cracker and honey and a low, pleasing, tight carbonation. Apricot, lemon, grapefruit and melon run side-by-side with light bubble gum and more watermelon with rich honey lingering on the finish and low, gentle bitterness. Juicy hop sweetness abounds with just a kiss of pine and grapefruit, as well. Very by-the-books Tree House, with again, a VERY prominent yeast signature, or so I thought, even for TH standards. Reminds me quite a bit of Sap, though less spicy.

Pours hazy mango into a shaker. Bright white head with good retention recedes to skim surface. Mango and passionfruit aromas. Soft with sweet marshmallow, lavender and mango upfront turning to sweet mandarins and tangerine in the lasting finish.

Sample from some generous soul at last nights meeting, thanks for the opportunity! Hazy deep yellow with a bubbly white head. Flavor and aroma are dominated by tropical fruity citrus and light earthy pine. Sweet bready malt plays a supporting role. Pretty tasty beer.

Can from someone last night at the meeting, thanks for the opportunity! Slightly hazy with a smallish white head. Lots of citrus and tropical aroma and flavor with some grassy and bready notes deep underneath. Pretty tasty.
