Poured up at Ratebeer Best 2017 Beer Fest where it exhibits a fully opaque kind of deep gold yet hay and pappery looking body that supports a thin near white head of foam. The aroma offers up a bit of pine, some grapefruit and faint spicy hoppiness and really not much else. The taste however is just inviting and fully well rounded with hoppy goodness. I get pine, grapefruit, spicy hoppy notes and kind of herbal bitter grassiness. It gets nice and juicy to midway creating great balanceβ¦ wow! Dangerously drinkable. Iβll have another!

Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Aroma is very coffee forward with lots of chocolate. Coffee notes add some berry notes and light nut butter character. Faint roast notes. Pours black with a medium small, thick, dark mocha head that recedes steadily to a thin film that lingers in the center. Light lacing and medium small legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet, but not as sweet as expected. Fairly strong chocolate notes, but lots of coffee. Coffee has a light nuttiness with some moderate fruit notes including berry. Medium low bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, a decent beer with a lot of coffee notes. Could be a bit sweeter with some more body. Really nice coffee expression.
