At Trillium & Tree House tasting in the Struise shop in Bruges, cheers Bart! Thin, egg-white, lightly lacing, opening head leaving a steady but thin rim, hazy peach blonde robe with greenish hue. Aroma of lemon rind, limoncello, yellow grapefruit, toasted shallot, biscuit, green banana, green tomato or even tomato leaves, kiwi. Crisp, vividly fruity onset, passion fruit, kiwi, lychee, softish carbo, supple and lightly oily, ’full’ mouthfeel, biscuity core, very aromatic, long finish, grapefruity and spicy hoppiness, bittering but not in a harsh way, releasing lovely exotic fruit impressions retronasally, juicy and very elegant, alcohol remaining well hidden. World class DIPA, can easily stand comparison with some of the more legendary examples in this style.

At Trillium & Tree House tasting in Bruges, cheers Bart. Moussy, snow white, lacing, more or less stable head over a cloudy yellow blonde beer with lightly peachy hue. Complex and delicately fragrant bouquet of lime blossom, lemon peel, green kiwi, tangerine, pink pepper, green onion, mandarin flesh, damp marihuana, sweet red curry, unripe mango, green banana. Crisp, fruity onset, yellow kiwi, papaja, mangistan, spritzy carbo, lightly oily and supple mouthfeel, bready touch in the middle, supporting an utterly aromatic, rich hop finish, citrusy, spicy, bit resinous, with lots and lots of retronasal grapefruit, passion fruit and orange juice. Feels much more orange than green, so to speak, but by all standards another world class craft beer by this acclaimed IPA specialist.

At Bart’s Trillium and Tree House tasting in Bruges. The flagship of this much revered Massachusetts craft brewery, with lacing but thin, egg-white, moussy head and hazy peach blonde colour with warm light orange hue. Delicate, fragrant nose, hints of moldy grapefruit, overripe kiwi, mango, tangerine, ripe papaja, wet biscuit, gooseberry, passion fruit. Vivid fruity onset, ripe mango, passion fruit and some lime, softish carbo, soft and supple mouthfeel, tad bready and biscuity in the middle, adequately supporting a very aromatic, complex hop character in the finish, gently but lastingly bittering, retronasal papaja and sweet exotic pepper, very citrusy as well, bit resinous and in perfect balance with the malt and fruitiness. This is a wonderfully delicate, elegant IPA, clearly the result of inspiration and technical perfectionism, a delight to savour especially from a young can like this. I can easily understand why this brewery has become one of the most recent American hypes.

Can into a wineglass showing unfiltered dark orange with sparse white foam. The nose shows intense juicy grapefruit and orange citrus notes. The palate is full bodied and well carbonated. Flavors of intensely juicy grapefruit and orange citrus with a light barely perceivable bitterness on the finish. Similar to the other beers a mix of sweet malts and the citrus notes create a light adzuki sweetness on the finish. Superb

Can into a wineglass showing unfiltered and opaque dark orange with a finger of quickly dissipating clean white foam. The nose shows intense grapefruit with light hints of mango and a malty background. The palate is medium bodied and well carbonated. Flavors of intensely juicy grapefruit throughout and a final grapefruit pulpy and zesty bitterness. Completely dry and in combination with the zestiness and carbonation makes this perfect. Very clearly no addition of any juices. This is masterfully made.

Can shared by jc1762. Thanks Jon! Pouerd a light amber-yellow color with a small white, foamy head. Aroma was lots of resin notes, tropcical fruit notes. Some smooth boozy alchol notes, resin, sweet malt. Pretty good.
