Growler shared in London - picked up at the brewery five days prior. Pours clear gold with a white cream topping. The nose is all pine and well-ripened citrus fruits. Medium sweet flavor with ripe, sticky orange, light tangerine. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Good and resinous on the finish with further pine and orange, moderate bready malts. Very tasty. A bit punchy and sticky but it does achieve some nice balance.

5th December 2013
Craft Clerkenwell tasting. Thanks to Leighton for this evenings New England haul. Lightly hazy gold beer, little white head. Palate is soft and dry. Resinous hops, skunky and piney as well. A bare whisper of citrus. Finishes dry with hop spice dominant. Found this a little astringent to be great but still a good beer.

Bottle. Cloudy gold/orange body with a frothy white head. Aroma of resin, grapefruit, citrus, mango, passion fruit, toasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Resiny flavor, but not overwhelming because of the light caramel, tangerine and other citrus fruits plus peach and mango. Better than so many one-dimensional, resinous IPAs.

2 Liter growler. Dark black color even when held to bright sunlight. Warm pour with the growler sitting in the sun for quite awhile. Nose is chocolate, roasted coffee beans and tobacco. Taste is mostly the same and really damn tasty. Light notes of lactose sugar with the Sweet chocolate and coffee flavors. Even at a very warm temperature the mouthfeel was creamy and body leaning on the full side. Loads of flavor at 5.4 %. Real nice job with this Stout!!

On tap at ACBF 6/1/2013 Bready sweet pilsner malt with lots of spicy and earthy hop bite. 3 for 3 here. Great beer from what appears to be a very talented brewer.
