Fresh growler shared by Reynolds314. Bright yellow color, large lasting head. Aroma is ton of bright fruit and grassy hops.

Flavor is juicy with fruity and grassy like the aroma. Mangos, peaches, stone fruit with lots of pale malt with some sweet bready backbone. Some grassy hops with hints of bitter grapefruit however, the juicy fruits take this over. Low bitterness when it’s all said and done. Borderline drinking a fruit cup. Still very nice stuff.

A hazed blonde ale with a thin white head. In aroma, a beautiful complex mix of citrusy and catty hops, biscuit malt, perfumy notes, very nice. In mouth, smooth fruity biscuit malt with floral, catty hops, citrus pulp, very balanced, quite nice. Growler from Ian Guenard.

Bottle thanks to Adam! Pours a near clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a pine and grapefruit combination with a hint of citrus. Flavor has a more citrus with a bit of pine and grapefruit backing.

Growler thanks to ClarkVV. Pours hazy orange amger with a small white head, creamy with nice lacing. Aroma is strong as soon as the growler is popped, citrus, pine, passionfruit, grapefruit, dank goodness. Flavor is the same, light sweet, light bitter, juicy dank and rich. Medium plus body, oily mouthfeel. Tiny bit harsh on the far finish, but all in all definitely one of the good ones.

750mL swingtop, bottled on 1/11/14, drunk 1/18/14
Extremely tight carbonation produces a compact, creamy white head, atop a pale golden body, with a slight chill-haze to it. Head is well-retained. Pretty impressive appearance given the keg to swingtop production. Would certainly expect this from a bottle-conditioned beer. Appreciate the light haziness as well; it’s not filtered but has been given enough time to clear completely.
Very strong aroma is all hoppiness...Mostly a citric IPA with navel oranges, white grapefruit and touches of lime. Perfectly attenuated malts give just a touch of honey on the end and balance the hop acids somewhat. With warming, I find tropical fruit notes; mango, pineapple and sweet lychee that add more depth to the hoppy presentation. No alcohol and most importantly no yeast stink, dirtiness or doughiness. AND no hop resin burn?? Literally not a touch of it. VERY impressive.
Flavor follows from the nose. Tons of hoppiness, flavorful and moderately bitter, but the bitterness is spicy and citric, not resinous or alcoholic. Pale malts are soft and fully attenuated, giving the hops something to sink in to. Perfect balance and the mouthfeel, thanks to the tight carbonation, is creamy and supple.
Really blown away by this stuff. Nothing flashy at all, just a wonderfully done pale ale. These guys have certainly made me a believer. The long wait-times to get their beer seem a little bit more understandable, having had this (and Julius, which is also stellar). Most impressed with the complete lack of resin burn (hop acid fatigue), yet without any sweet or thick maltiness. A study in balance.
Rerate, canned 3/10/16, drunk 3/18/16.
While this batch didn’t live up to my memory of the previous batch I had, it was mostly that the carbonation was off, not so much any aspect of the aroma or flavor. Just seemed a little loose and watery. Granted this is not a big beer, but their growlers seem to have better carbonation than their cans, more often. Really, really well-balanced beer and not flashy at all, as I remembered, with easygoing hoppiness and plenty of juiciness. While this can certainly wasn’t a 4.6, I’m going to leave the score unchanged and chalk it up to the carbonation. Will try again next back and see if this was just an anomaly.

Draught at the brewery, 1/18/14
Light tan head tops an inky black body with some lighter dark brown edges. Well-retained, even for a sample. Seems to be opaque.
Lactic-meets-chocolate nose evens out to produce a molasses aroma, with light roast and some definite vanilla-cream notes. Moderate strength of aroma, like how the lactose is apparent in the nose. Light anise notes and even some marshmallow flavors. Toasted, bready malts. Quite a lot going on for a sweet sout.
Sweeter than I would expect, based on the nose. Milk sugar and light prune vie for dominance, but the maltiness and sugars easily win. A bit watery on the end. More hop bitterness would go a long way here, as the very light roastiness and lactic notes are the only thing battling the sweetness. Drinkable, but I can’t imagine having more than a pint of this. Then again, sweet stouts are a very strange style. How can you fault a "sweet" stout for being sweet? And it does have some interesting vinousness, as mentioned. Will revisit, as this brewery seems to be quite worthwhile.
Can drunk 4/13/17.
Quite nice and hides the lactose much better than any of the "Shot" series. More roast and a bit lighter overall, with much less sugar and fudge. Very nice and vastly outdid the Double Shot we tried earlier.

Growler big thanks to Leighton, split at Bruce’s pad, 09/12/13. Hazed golden amber with a moderate off white head. Nose is banana, sweet sugars, pear drops, toffee, perfumed notes. Taste comprises pumpkin pie, light spice, banana loaf, light booze, rich caramel vein, sugars. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, light booze in the finish. Ok, a little overly sweet and lacking depth and balance.

Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Thanks to Leighton. Lightly hazy gold -amber beer. Small white head. Fresh pumpkin at the start alond with a little malt cream. Mellow spice with light sweet ester, slighty bubblegum. The spices turn more agvressive. Perfumey bubblegum finish. Slightly odd but still quite enjoyable.
