Description
Founded 2008 as White Gypsy. Renamed into Whitefield in 2011.

A small family owned brewery dedicated to brewing authentic, traditional style beers.

Our focus is on using the best available malt and hops from farmers and people we’ve actually met and visited. Beers are brewed using a traditional style German brewhouse, matured over many months and then we self-distribute all our beers to publicans and off licences we respect and trust. This we believe, allows us to provide you, the customer, with a genuinely authentic beer.

Draught at Against the Grain. Brownish black with a thin head, ok lacing. Aroma is sweetish toast malt. Flavour is sorta a cross between a schwarzbier and a Dunkel. Sweet vanilla, very dry at the back of the throat, a little toast at the base. --- Beer merged from original tick of Dark Lady on 15 Feb 2017 at 16:04 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 5.5. Bottle courtesy of Andrew and douglas88, thank you gents! Completely black color, thick dark brown head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of licorice, rich dark bittersweet cocoa, burnt cofee, dark fruit. Taste is smooth, rich, slightly fruity, slightly sour, very roasty and complex. Very tasty.

Draft @ Doonbeg Golf Club. Deep red in color, hints of brown, soda like carbonation, creamy medium sized off white head that lasts throughout. Muted aroma of caramel and brown bread. Very little bitterness but also not heavy on the sweet malt, Taste is more caramel and toffee, some nutty taurine texture. Well balanced and enjoyable but not very exciting or memorable.
