A small family owned brewery dedicated to brewing authentic, traditional style beers.
Our focus is on using the best available malt and hops from farmers and people we’ve actually met and visited. Beers are brewed using a traditional style German brewhouse, matured over many months and then we self-distribute all our beers to publicans and off licences we respect and trust. This we believe, allows us to provide you, the customer, with a genuinely authentic beer.

Cask @ The Salthouse, Galway [270815]
Copper red, clear, off white dense head, good lacing
Aroma of soft fruity caramel, toffee malts, slight toasted notes
Taste of sweet caramel, soft red fruits, toffee malts, simple flavour, tasty, no hops.
Palate - Medium body, sweet malts, soft texture. Finish as main flavour.
Overall - Nice malts, very easy drinking. Doesn’t have the depth of flavour as the Ruby on keg. Was served too warm for a cask beer.

Keg @ Bierhaus, Galway [270815]
Copper red, clear, rich dense white head (nitro), some lacing
Aroma of soft caramel, soft sweet fruity malts, red fruits
Taste of caramel, red fruits, quite fruity, bit of toasted malt, soft cereal, light bitter hops, hint of raisin
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, creamy texture, smooth, soft sweet. Finish has a bit more bitter hops, Weetabix cereal.
Overall - More complexity than usual for Irish Reds - think this is probably the best I’ve tried so far.

75cl bottle courtesy of and shared with 77ships.
