500ml bottle at home. Pours a traditional Weissbeir pale hazy straw colour. HUGE white head that sticks around. Again, traditional weissbier aroma of banana, clove, some bubblegum. Lovely full mouthfeel, flavour matches the aroma, a slight bit too much carbonation however. Nice grainy finish.

500ml bottle at home. Pours a slightly burnt copper colour with a fizzy grey white head. More of a malty aroma than expected, somewhere between an Irish Red Ale and English Pale Ale in aroma and flavour. Bitter and metallic finish

500ml bottle at home. Pours a light and clear brownish red, large fluffy white head. Nose is sweet malts, a hint of floral minty hops, some brown sugar. Mouthfeel is a bit thin and watery but easy on the carbonation. Again, a little thin on the flavour, but you wouldn’t want too much from a Marzen style anyway, bready and sweet malt, slight bit of astringency here. Nice soft finish.

I made the decision to differentiate this years Emerald from the last few batches due to the change in malts and hops used here as well as the overall difference in flavour profile. Going forward this beer should have its own listing per year. Pours a dull amber, medium off white head. Floral hops, green apple, some bready malts on the nose. A bit watery mouthfeel. Floral hops, green apple, sweet malt, bread and butter flavour. Quick finish. Would be phenomenal on cask.
