0.33 l bottle from ’De Bierboom’, best before April 2018. Clear, golden amber with a medium large, foamy, stable, white head. Quite faint, sweetish, slightly yeasty-spicy aroma of clove, toffee, vanilla and hints of spicy hops. Sweetish, already rather bitter, slightly yeasty-spicy taste of clove, vanilla, honey, some pear and a touch of green banana, followed by a long, very bitter, almost harsh, dry, moderately yeasty-spicy and a little alcoholic finish. Medium body, rather effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Unexpectedly bitter, a bit too much actually, far from your average Tripel. Lacks some more sophisticated flavours, still a nice beer though.

A paper wrapped 33cl bottle in De Bierboom, Brugge on 26th Nov 2016. Golden blond pour, white head. I thought this very sweet with the malts completely overpowering the hop content, even if it has been hopped three times!
