Hazy dull amber with a few bubbles. Aroma of funk, wood, sweet red apples and toffee with some tart green apple notes. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate sour. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.

Supermarket bottle from Piriac-sur-Mer area. Popped in Normandy to make space in the car for better bottles. Clear rusty amber applejuice, still (no carbonation). Dry and watery light sweet caramel, old leaves. Light sweet and more bitter. No body and no carbonation. Just bitter and dry rusty apple juice with some spike. Meh.
Soft sweet mealy apples and green twigs with a sudden steep dry finish. Woody, tannin dry. Quite tart, almost gluey at first. Later more soft and chalky. Light body with a soft unfiltered mouthfeel, fine carbonation and dry finish. Dangerous easy drinker.

Bottle at Cap Fréhel camping from the burger stand. Clear deep golden, no real head. Sweet apple, apple peel, good farmyard notes with cow sweat and dry donkey aroma, hay, woody, light tannins, dry apple slices. Medium sweet, light tart and bitter. Medium bodied, sparkly carbonation and light dry finish.

Supermarket bottle shared at the Grimbosq Fireplace Airbnb Situation. Pours a near clear golden apple juice with fine white ring head. Soft sweet mealy apples and green twigs with a sudden steep dry finish. Woody, tannin dry. Quite tart, almost gluey at first. Later more soft and chalky. Light body with a soft unfiltered mouthfeel, fine carbonation and dry finish. I can drink this dangerously fast and easy.

Bottle from Super U shared at camping in Plougoumelen. Clear golden with big bubbles. Light apple, pear, hay, apricot, fresh twigs, orange, cooked apples. Almost medium sweet, quite light bitter and tart. Almost medium bodied with fizzy carbonation and a bit watery finish. Bit light and bland, nothing off though.

Bottle shared at a friends place, bought at some supermarket. Bit hazy golden with small ring of white bubbles. Sweet apple, dry apple peel, light yeasty, bitter apples, grassy, moss. Almost medium sweet, under medium bitter and light tart. Medium bodied and medium dry finish. OK cider, a little watery maybe.

Supermarket bottle shared at the cidershack at Domaine Pouldrait, Piriac-sur-Mer. Clear golden with no bubbles left. Sweet apple, sickly nutty water, somewhat milkfilmy and weird. Quite sweet and light bitter. Medium body and low carbonation. Maybe the cheesy look of the bottle with the alu-wrap around the neck and the abundance of Celtic fonts were a bit of a giveaway but still a bit disappointing. /// Saved half the bottle for the next day with a proper cork. Next day I didn’t notice off flavours at all. --- Beer merged from original tick of Cidre Breton - Brut on 01 Aug 2019 at 12:14 - Score: 6.
