Cask halfpint at JDW, Victoria Station, London. Reddish brown colour, moderate off-white head. Moderate but nice fruity and malty aroma. Rich flavour of ripe berries, malts and fruity hops, soft and smooth to drink, but not too sweet. Pleasant beer.

Cask at JDW Charlie Hall; brown/red pour with a soapy beige head, caramel aroma, taste is caramel with citrus and a hint of spice.

Cask handpull at The Old Buttermarket Canterbury Nicholson pub. Black beer with ruby edges lasting dark beige head. Funny to get this beer so far south. Ok slightly ashy dark malt beer. Some roast. Ok. Bit thin. What a modern dark mild has become.

Cask at Tanners Hall JDW Darlington. Ruby-red amber colour, creamy off-white head leaving some lacing and aroma of lemon citrus. Taste is sweetish malt caramel with citrusy hoppy bitterness. Light to medium bodied, soft carbonation, smooth bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

Cask at GBBF ’13, 15/08/13. Clear golden amber with a good sized of white/light beige head. Nose is orange sherbet, citrus fruit, light hop bill. Taste comprises light grapefruit, hops, grassy, orange pith. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry finish. A really decent drop!

Appearance: Black color with a small beige head. Lovely lacing.
Aroma: Dark malty and mild hoppy.
Palate: Medium body. Moderate sweet and a moderate bitterness. Soft carbonation.
Taste: Mild dark malty. Roasted malt, light fruity and some fresh hoppy notes.
Overall impression: One of the best Mild ale I have had.
