Description

post Borefts train to Amsterdam. Hazy paleish gold beer, small dirty white head. Palate is light and semi dry. Minerally carbonation. Little spice and dry seltzer. Trace of fruits. Dry finish. Mild bitter linger. A bit dull and not very IPA like but inoffensive.

33cl bottle from Maakun, Euro Swap 3/2015. Thanks! First from this brewery for me. Poured cloudy orange with a thick nice head. Bit of yeast on the bottom, poured it all without thinking, making it not that good looking perhaps. Wow, this is smoky. Meaty, smoky, tar in aroma, some grapefruit trying to come through but the smoke covers nearly all. Very meaty, thick smoke. Interesting and very nice aroma. Flavor has smoke, licorice/tar candy like notes, rye and tangerines/orange juicy hops as well. Long fruity, subtle smoky finish. Very interesting take. The rye making it quite crisp as well. Rye really pops up in the finish long after, taste of crispbread in burps.
