On tap the Magnet, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is full of oats, dry cocoa, and some metallic notes. Flavour is very dry, with metallic notes, oats, and dry cocoa. Too metallic, somewhat dry, and a touch of cocoa. Rather lifeless and somewhat flawed. Not great.

On tap. Pours a dark reddish brown with moderate head. Aromas of soft bready roasted malts. Flavors of bready roasted malts and creamy dry coffee. Malty and easy to drink but nothing to write home about.

5oz pour at brewery. Pours clear amber with off-white head. Aroma has gin-like aromatics, booze, something malty? Flavour has harsh gin barrels, a bit of woody, some sweet malts. Rough, uncoordinated, and barely palatable. Throwing beer into a barrel does not make it good.

5oz pour at brewery. Pours clear gold with white head. Aroma has pumpkin, winter spices, some esters. Flavour has pumpkin puree, esters, winter spices, some spicy Belgian yeast. Part of me wants to hate this flavour combo, but another prefers the ester/pumpkin combo to a standard pumpkin ale. Overall reasonably decent? Or good?
