Sample, thanks to Danlo. Has a clear pale complexion. Aroma has a gentle, characterful perry pear sweetness. Flavour profile brings an enticing blend of perry pear, quince and gooseberry with grape jelly and schloer suggestions. Really captivating blend. Nicely done.

750 bottle picked up at Aeble, Anstruther. It pours crystal pale almost greenish gold with a fizzy, dissipating white head. The aroma is fresh, sweet - sour, crunchy, bright, gooseberry crumble, quince jelly, pear skin, rhubarb & custard, dry oak, white grape, leafy, whisky fudge and tablet. The taste is crisp, dry, puckering, oak, tannin, spritzy, bright, zingy, sherbet, gooseberry, soor plooms, lime, crunchy tart pear, pear skin, quince jelly, vinous, fortified wine, whisky, leafy, hunt if acidity and a nip of booze. The finish is lingering crunchy pear and drying oak tannin. Medium body and lively spritzy carbonation. Pretty incredible tbh. Exceptional balance and lovely depth. Right up there to be honest.
