It was clear and golden in color. The head was moderately sized, slightly bubbly, and off-white. It left just a bit of lacing. The smell had some herbs to it, but mainly orange and just a bit of pine as well. The taste was mildly sweet and floral, the orange comes back ever so slightly. The palate was medium also with a medium carbonation with a decently strong body. Overall, it is a very drinkable beer that I would come back to.

This dark brown brew had a decent off-white-tan head and had a great aroma of a charcoal/smokiness to it, in which was balanced very well. There are some light sweet malts that also come out in the smell. The flavor shows this as well. The palate was about light and very drinkable. Overall, I liked it for the most part.

It pours pitch black and gives the same color body. The head is pretty small and leaves within a couple seconds. The lacing is spotty but gives a bit of a smeared look as it runs down the glass. The smell is malty along with some burnt coffee. The taste is the same maltiness along with the burnt coffee, and it gives a slight bitter taste as well. The palate has low carbonation and feels smooth over the tongue, slightly creamy. Overall, I’d have this again.

22 oz. bottle. No born on or best before date anywhere. English pint shows a dirty amber color with large, fast, diminishing head. Weak retention. Nose is an odd mix of caramel malt and perfume hops. Unfortunately this brew sat to long in my basement. (Purchased this back around April 2012)Musty dead hops, yeast and a hop or spice that just isn’t pleasant. Tastes sort of like olive juice. I don’t know what Pineapple Sage is supposed to taste like; perhaps olives? Anyhow, Not a big fan here.

Pours a deep copper color with a huge beige head that persists forever leaving moderate lacing on the glass. Hints of caramel and bready malt mix with earthy spicy hops make up the aroma. A slight mineral edge rounds out the nose. The flavor is toffee and caramel with bread mineral water and earthy spicy hops providing some bit of balance. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet slick mouthfeel. Not a bad beer, I could see myself drinking these.

Draft @ Portland Old Port location. Chalice with a stem was used. Pitch black color with tan head. Excellent head retention. Tons of lace. Flavor is strong roasted malt and chocolate with lots of citrus and pine hops. As it warms; I pick up more resin. Light coffee notes. Texture is on the dry side. Needed water after I finished it. Medium body gives it high drinkability. Nice.

Draft @ Portland location. Nearly clear piss color. Weak nose is unknown fruit and generic hop. Taste is nearly the same. Body and texture is extremely light like it should be. Dry texture with weak bitterness. Not the worst I’ve had in this style. Somewhat drinkable.

Burnt orange with a 2 finger head. taste is very bitter. simcoe and centennial. very bitter for the ABV so it lacks balance. Lots of pine resin and chewy. Hint of grapefruit.

Reddish amber hues, no head. Hoppy and pinecone nose. tastes like a newcastle ...very in line with the style. oak and low malt taste, sweet finish and nice bitterness.
