Bottle, purchased in Genoa, Italy. This is a balanced imperial stout with moderate roasted malt flavors, some coffee, and chocolate. I think I taste some lactose and would describe it as medium-sweet. Thin, lacing head in the glass. One of the better Italian beer I found in Northern Italy.

Bottle shared by John, thanks! Pours near black with a brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has earthy dark grains and light roast with chocolate and coffee supporting. Flavor has chocolate and dark grains and roasted malts with a bit of coffee underlying.

Bottle courtesy of daniele. Grazie. Amber clear pour with a tick and medium off-white foam. Nose: ham backbone, a bit floral and resinous. Mouth: meh, medicine, bitter grass. OMG, something went wrong here.

0,05l from tap at Bastian Contrario Parma. Dark Brown color, small tan head. Smells licorice, earthy, roasty, light vanilla. Nice smell. Light body, almost no carbonation, light mouthfeel. Tastes sweet malty, light caramel, earthy, very light vanilla, light soy sauce. Finishes sweet with some roast and notes of vanilla, earth and some soy sauce. Decent one, taste is almost a bit too light, but overall it works

Bottle from Eataly, Genoa, consumed at home Tuesday 14th February 2017 (a departure from the norm’, sees us drinking on a Tuesday night, oops) Black as yer ’at, tangy dark fruits, a little prune but is good. Like it because it’s not too cloyingly sweet and it’s not OTT. Nice stuff. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.5
