Sampled from bottle @ RBBSG II. Opaque dark brown to black color, small beige head. Smell and taste malts, a slight touch of sourness but also a hint of sweetness, some light to moderate roastyness and some coffee. Medium body and carbonation.

Courtesy of tderoeck. Thx! 75 cl. bottle sampled @ RBBSG II. BBF March/2012. Pours very dark brown, blackish, mocha head. Smell is sweet vinous, mocha, sour red fruit, berries, light chocolate, cocoa, very nice and unexpected. Taste is a wonderful sour RIS, I really do not think that, that was the intention but never the less this is a really good sour RIS. Not sure what is the cause, age, infection,…? Taste is a wonderful blend of sour berries, chocolate, sweet spices, coffee, chocolate cereal, light tang, fruits, med. tang, coffee, very light roast,… Med. grainy chocolate. I am a bit weirded out but this is really good.

10/VIII/13 - 75cl bottle from Gradi Plato (Rome) @ RBBSG II, my place - BB: III/2012 (2013-751)
Clear dark brown beer, small beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: chloride, sourish, weird and soapy, some cleaning product, caramel. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: mocha, dark chocolate, bit sourish, coffee, cocoa powder. Aftertaste: pretty sour, coffee, sugary touch, overripe fruits, bit dirty, burnt toast. Probably aged it for too long. Have to admit, I didn't check the alcohol % on this one, and just assumed it was a 10% imperial stout. My bad.

Bottle at Bruce’s, thanks to Colin. It pours very dark brown with a small light tan head. The nose is roasted malt, meatiness, toasted sesame, honeysuckle, salted caramel and light soy sauce. The taste is roasted malt, toast, earth, coffee, cocoa, dark fruit, meatiness, light tang and a touch of alcohol with a dry, roasty finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A bit meaty.... drinkable enough mind you.

Bottle split at Bruce’s pad, 31/07/13. Thanks to Luca for trading me this one. Extremely dark mahogony brown with a thin tan head. Nose is roasty malts, chocolate, soy sauce, light booze. Taste comprises dark toffee fudge, chocolate, brown sugars. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, dry finish. Ok drinlable fayre but not enough clout for an impy in my book - perhaps a foreign stout.

Hints of tangy dark malts on the nose, charred dark malts, a bit of dusty cocoa, burnt marshmallows. Medium sweet flavor, some dark bread, burnt dark sugars, light bitterness, some brownies. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet dark malt finish, mellow roast, burnt bread, cocoa. Very drinkable.

Bottled (thanks TBone!). Deep hazy ambery brown colour with a small beige head. Aroma is vintage wooden notes along with some sweet malts, raisins, wood and fruits. Flavour is sweet malts, some alcohol, raisins and toffee with a very big wooden tone to it. Feels like a good BSA that has got way too much wooden barrels in the flavour. I guess the barrel aging has been done for a too long time in this one...
