Bottle. Dark brown colour with an off-white head. Aroma is soya sauce, caramel, roasted malt, chocolate. Flavour is hop, alcohol, caramel, soya sauce, roasted malt, chocolate. Nice beer.

Bottle shared at The Kernel. Thanks Nate! Pours oily, black-brown with very little head. Some tangy dark malts in the nose. Medium sweet flavor, tangy dark fruits, light tobacco and roast. Medium odied with soft carbonation. Sweet finish, dark and tangy fruits, light roast, dark sugar. Not bad.

06/08/2011 330ml bottle. Nera, densa, impenetrabile, con bel cappello di schiuma color cappuccino, non molto persistente. Aroma intenso di malti tostati, caffè, cioccolata, luppolo e spezie. In bocca è meravigliosamente bilanciata, caffettosa, dolciastra, speziata, con finale amarognolo. Corpo medio-pieno, consistenza vellutata, carbonazione corretta. Per essere una imperial stout da appena 7.8% è davvero notevole. Elegante, complessa, bilanciatissima.

03/08/2011 330ml bottle. Marrone scuro, intenso, con morbidissima schiuma color senape, poco persistente. Aroma intensissimo, di malto, ciliegie, cioccolato, con una punta acidula. In bocca è meravigliosamente complessa, dolciastra, ciliegie, cioccolato, con una punta acidula nel finale. Corpo medio-pieno, consistenza oleosa, carbonazione corretta. Meraviglioso esemplare di belgian strong ale. Sorprendente, di grandissimo carattere. Tra le migliori birre italiane in assoluto.

Bottle in Erbe 28, Genoa. Cloudy brown beer, tidy off white head. Crisp palate, fine carbonation. Malty! A lot of caramel that tastes slightly aged. Some nice fruits underneath. Dry finish with mild bitterness. Alright but maybe a bit too much with the malt.

750 ml bottle from Open Baladin, shared with MrChopin +2 in some park in Rome. Black color, small dark brown head. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, brandy. Taste is smooth brandied chocolate. Medium body. Nice stuff.

Bottled. Quite much black colour, small off-white head. Aroma is nutty, liquorice and bready/caramel malty with some slight notes of nutmeg. Flavour is roasted malts, liquorice and some mild wooden slight sour as well.
