Bottle from the Christmas market, Annecy. Pours a misty golden amber, small white head. Aroma has strong caramel malt. Taste similar has a big hit of crystal malt, some underlying citrus with a confident bitter bite. Quite a flavoursome old-school IPA, not my preferred style, but it's decent.

473ml can from Peluso Beaubien (4.99$ a can, limited to a six-pack per customer), drunk 5 days after bottling. It pours a cloudy milky gold with a thin fizzy aroma with an orange tint to the head. The aroma is incredibly juicy of with a touch of pine. It is awesome that such a major craft brewery in Quebec does such an insanely solid take on a trendy style.

Bouteille de 341 ml. Olfactif herbacé avec notes citronnées et quelques conifères et un léger fruité de levure aux accents de bonbon confit. Couleur doré tirant légèrement sur le ambré, le liquide très légèrement voilé développe une petite mousse crémeuse et persistante. En bouche, elle développe un houblonnage complexe aux notes herbacées, résineuses et terreuses tout à la fois. Fines herbes, sapin et notes terreuses avec légère astringence en finale. Définitivement pale ale et non pas amber ale. Très houblonnée et complexe. Agréable.

A reddish copper brown scotch ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light grassy hops, light peated notes, light treacle, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet caramel malt with loads of butterscotch, light smokey notes, light grassy hops, nice and smooth. On tap at Balthazar Laval.
