Gravity cask at the Town Street Tap, Duffield. Dark brown, quite translucent, with a suggestion of off-white head. Aroma gives chocolate biscuit, some dark malt, a little nuanced bit of stone fruit. Tastes far more impressive, with an earthy bitter hop bearing down on the initial chocolate-laden sweetness. Flat, oily body. Nice.

Keg at the Tap at No 76, Ashby. Reddish amber, clear with a quickly dissipating off-white head. Light malty scent, I'm getting chestnut, toffee, resin, raisins. Taste is sweet and bready with a bittering hop balance closer to the long finish. More raisin and some caramel in the aftertaste. Thin to medium body, carbonation bordering on the heavy. Passable.

50cl bottle from Samonite. Medium creamy beige head. Clear almost black pour. Another odd tasting beer from this brewery. Doesn't taste much like a stout but doesn't taste bad.

Handpull cask at the Queens Road Tap, Leicester. Dark brown and translucent. Subtle malty aroma with a nutty character. Very sweet taste, sticky pecan pie, some caramel, some Camp coffee. Touch of balancing hop in the finish, but overall this is a sweet beer. A simple, refreshing mild, not massive amounts of character but still very drinkable.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2017, [ Great British Beer Festival 2017 ], London Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London, England W14 8UX.[ As Tollgate Mary Wild ].Clear medium to dark red brown colour with a average, frothy - fizzy and open, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark malt, nutty, caramel, sweet malt. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, sweet malt, caramel, toasted, dark bread, nutty, light dark malt.
