Roasty and slightly vegetal flavor, bitter and a bit sweet with light acidic hints. Medium-bodied. Doesn’t seem very fresh. Score is not calculated. 4/3/5/3/10=2.5

Sweet flavor with toasted bread, a tiny bit of caramel and a bit of coffee. Medium-bodied. A 7.5% Stout that tastes somewhat like a light Schwarzbier - Quite enjoyable! 6/3/7/3/13=3.2

Can. A light golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of malt, fruit, and cardboard. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, metal, and malt, leading to a bitter and metallic finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

0.33l bottle @ Cafe Spesial, Bergen. Bottle says ABV 4.7%. Pours your average lager body; golden and pale with a tiny sidesticking lager-head. Aroma is just wrong. Grainy and metallic, slightly sour and the good old wet dog has most likely taken a bath in the batch. Lively carbonated, light-bodied and it has a really watery mouthfeel. Guess it tastes a bit better than the aroma could suggest. Light corn-like flavors, kinda sweet and it ends really quickly in a thin watery finish. Actually not that bad with the food I had, so this went from a horrible smelling bad-lager to a mediocre premium lager.

Tasted at the brewery tasting bar, the Qingdao Beer Festival and it is available in many places around town, especially along Beer Street. Pale straw and quite hazy. Has a fresh, yeasty aroma that is only lightly bready. Tastes yeaty, but also a bit dirty. As unfiltered lager goes, this is mostly just unrefined, and needs more lagering to blow off the minor off-flavours.

Draft at the Qingdao Beer Festival. Supposedly the best beer they make, or that’s how they want to present it. Straw colour. Quite a sweetish bland beer that fails to deliver any particular enjoyable character.

Tsingtao Real Draft, on tap at the Qingdao Beer Festival. Dull straw with big bubbles. Not much head. Really doesn’t look like much. The aroma is grainy and a little bit fruity, hinting at a watery macrobrew. Flavour is malt-accented and the beer has a watery finish that drowns out a little bit of fruitiness.

Clear golden coloured body with a soapy white head. Aroma of awful skunk, malt and funky scents - could be the clear bottle? Light-bodied; Sharp malt flavour with some odd sweetness, mellow citrus taste and a little alcohol note. Aftertaste shows some skunk, some malt and a touch of alcohol - not too pleasant. Overall, not such a great beer, but slightly different and still nice to try since I can’t find this at home. I sampled this 33 cL bottle (best by 28/03/2012) purchased from CitySuper in Harbour City in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong on 24-August-2011 for HK$8.40 sampled on 25-August-2011 in my hotel room in Central, Hong Kong.

640ml bottle at 4.7%. Pours a lively gold with a medium head. Aroma is sweet hops and corn. Taste has corn throughout with a sweet finish.
