Bottle Share at Ratebeer meet up, Cotteridge Wines, Cotteridge, Birmingham Saturday 5th March 2016 cheers to Beersiveknown for this one. Pours a rather murky gloomy brown colour it is as if the beer is breaking down a little and colour is leaching out, a few tiny blobs of something float about. Quite oxidised, tart and sourness prevail, fruity. The beer has long gone leaving a few remnants of what once was. I have had a few aged beers of late, i.e. Pannepot Reserva, Westvleteren 8, Fullers Vintage 1999, I am coming to the realisation that ageing for the majority is pointless, yes 2-3 years maybe but any longer is a huge gamble. Bottle shared at Kennyโ€™s 20K tasting - London. Many thanks to Paul for this old geezer! Pours clear gold. Pretty knackered, but not bad overall. Moderately sweet, lightly tangy, with notes of bready malts, faint citrus fruits. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation. Some further tangy fruit elements in the finish. The beer held up reasonably well, but certainly its best years are behind it.

Bottle shared at Kennyโ€™s 20K tasting - London. Many thanks to Paul for this oldie! Pours clear amber-gold with no head. Smells strongly of solvent, glue, paint. Light sweet flavour, tangy, with more paint character, some berries. Light bodied with a smattering of carbonation. Tangy finish. Quite rough overall. Not the most enjoyable thing to drink. Certainly past its best, although still interesting.
