Bottle shared at Kenny’s 20K. It pours clear red - brown with a tiny, bubbly head. The nose is earthy, woody, leather, toast, toffee, chewy malt and fruit cake. The taste is wood, leather, oily, chewy malt, burnt toffee, oxidised character, earth, dark fruit and fruit cake. Medium body, fine carbonation and slick mouth-feel. It is obviously a bit past its prime, but overall its not too bad.

Bottle shared at Kenny’s 20K. It pours clear deep red with minimal head. The nose is musty, old, dried apple, permanent marker pen, prit stick and acetone. The taste is woody, earthy, musty, leather, definite glue vibe, oxidised malt and tangy dark fruits. Medium body and fine carbonation. I prefer my beers with less of a glue character. Underwhelming.....

bottle, vintage 2006. Deep golden colour, no head, not syrupy in consistency, but rather thin. Intensive vinous aroma, lots of port wine and sherry. Quite light-bodied for the strength. Very low malty sweetness, quite dry and slightly tart. Sherry and shy port wine flavours present, and a dusty dry finish. No carbonation. Delicious winter warmer, perhaps a tad on the dry side.

Bottle - Prune, raisin and brown sugar. Dirty brown. Prunes, rials and date. A little light on the palate. If this were a bit richer on the palate it would have been a gem, otherwise not bad for its age.

2002 bottle shared by Jack, thanks! Pours a deep amber red with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sweet caramel and dark fruits with a sweet grain backbone. Flavor has a good amount of oak with a bit of dark fruits and some earthy grains backing.
