2005 vintage bottle at the DC RB tasting. Poured an amber color. Aroma is sweet. The flavor was similar, smooth after a couple of years of age.

2nd go. The first bottle was a big fail.
It pours a hazy orange w with no foam and, duh, no lacing.
Age has taken an obvious toll on the beer’s smell and I’m sure taste. Smell is of vinegar, which isn’t so bad, but there’s a chemical like aroma that is very off putting.
Taste IS better. Loaded with the vinegar sourness, gots some soy, and way way deep in the background, the slightest hint of what this may have tasted like. ..an Old Ale?
Light bodied with "some" carbonation.
I fully blame the crumbly cork for not protecting the contents. :^(

1997 random grab. Pours brownish plum with fine nose of dried fruits and some wood. Tastes of plums, wood, vinous, leaves, raisins, and medicinal. A bit oxidized and flat. Old beer tastes for sure but interesting none the less.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Ariel’s place. Thanks Vova & Stas. 2005 bottle. Hazy red-amber with no head. Aroma of sherry, oak, lots of dark fruits and cookies. Vinous flavor, a bit sourish, with faint sweetness, dry red wine, oak, dark fruits and a bitterish note, quite astringent. Medium-bodied, red wine mouthfeel. Nice and interesting.

2005 vintage. 275mL bottle, courtesy of fiulijn (thanks a lot, Alex), pours a dirty dark brown with a tiny bubbly beige head. Aroma brings out notes of sherry oxidation, caramel, bready malts, and some dark fruits. Flavour brings out lovely tartness, without being infected, sherry oxidation, toffee and bready caramel malt. Despite the oxidation which seems to be intentional, this doesn't appear to have gone off in any sense. Lovely beer.
