Cask at Alexandra, Derby. Pours almost black with a small foamy tan head. The aroma is mainly roasted malts with just a hint of coffee. In the mouth it is quite sweet initially but some underlying bitterness comes through pretty quickly. Roasted malts are strong again plus chocolate and hints of apricot, liquorice and humbug coming later. Finish is slightly dry. This is quite nice

Cask at Vinny & Ted's, Beaconsfield. Not in the best condition unfortunately. Pale amber with a barely-there white head. Light generic fruitiness, a bit of sulphur, some caramel and some white bread. A so-so pale, inoffensive and forgettable.

Cask handpump at The Weavers, Malvern we had this in the company of Mum and Keith Wednesday 22nd October 2025. Pours clear warm gold with a slim white head, nicely bitter and fruity, slight dryness at the end. Simple, straightforward, not amazing but well kept, it's really in a very nice condition.

Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 16th October 2025. Clear gold with shallow, dullish white foam and full lacing. Tangy fruits dominate the aroma. Sophisticated citrus peel, grapefruit juice and bitter grassiness in-mouth. Grass and grapefruit harmonise exquisitely in a long finish. Light to medium bodied with a smooth texture. Utterly superb.

10/7/2025. Cask at the Ealing Beer Festival 2025. Not much life in the pour. Nutty, toasted, malty, hedgerow berries aroma. Dungy straw edge with slight berry tart notes. Not a big fan.

Cask at Ealing Beer Fest 25. A murky opaque chestnut brown. Frothy off-white head primarily sticks to the rim. Has jammy tang and malts, if somewhat low key. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Fine. Inoffensive.
