Description
Purchased by Tilray in 2022.
Our story started in 1998 with two friends who noticed a lack of fresh beer on Long Island and wanted to lower their bar tabs. We built a brewery on Long Island's South Shore in Patchogue, a tough and humble coastal town.
In 2014, Blue Point partnered with Anheuser-Busch, joining its family of craft brands in The High End business unit. Our operations, brewing and management team continue to be led from Patchogue, N.Y.
In 2019 we opened our new brewery on Patchogue's Main Street. This new facility will not only increase our brewing capacity, but will also lets beer lovers experience the people and place that inspire Blue Point every day. And we're pretty damn proud to be a part of that.

Sixes for Sunday NFL games. Pours brought copper with nice head. Tastes malty, of caramel, earth, with nice combination. Slight stickiness on palate but a decent Oktoberfest.

On tap at Good Beer NYC. An amber/orange coloured pour with a small white head on top. Aroma of pumpkin and spice. Tastes of pumpkin, spice, caramel, slight sweetness. OK for a pumpkin beer but give me the Southern Tier any day.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a medium caramel color with a huge foamy orange-cream head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was dryish and dusty with fairly strong cinnamon and nutmeg. The flavor was dryish and bitter with a strong cinnamon and nutmeg presence but little else of note. Medium length dry and spicy finish. Medium body. Ok.

Copper with a white head. Vegetal pumpking and light malt in the aroma. Medium body. Flavor is similar to aroma. The vegetal bit throws me off. Easy going but kinda boring.

Shaker pint draft at the Ye Olde Falcon Pub in Davie, Florida. Pour is a light hazed golden copper with a 1/2 inch white head. Aroma is lightly sweet toasted malt, some grassy hay. Clean, though faint. Some toasted malt comes out as it warms. Taste is light grain, toasted sweet malt, the clean fresh hay of the nose. Aftertaste has some bright hoppiness. Palate is light bodied, un-filtered mouth feel and the bright hopped finish. Crisp and clean beer, I enjoyed it.
