Bottle at CBJ, thanks to Cloin. Clear deep brown beer, small tan head. Airy palate, light and semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Mellow dark chocolate malts, a mild smoke. Barrel aged ripe fruits. Airy and semi dry finish. Not bad, lacks a central core for me.

Bottle from Blind tiger on holiday in North Yorkshire/. Deep amber colour with an off white head. Aroma and taste are malty floral pine and sweet to bitter. Really boozy. Sweet finish. Full body.

Almost clear golden amber topped with an off white cap that thins to a swirl.
Nose is orange zest, herb, grass, lemon nip, botanical notes, straw.
Taste comprises bitter orange, balsa wood, herb, citric tinged straw, gin essence.
Medium bodied with bite, light spritzy carbonation, semi drying close with a mellow spike of alcohol.
Okay hybrid affair and whilst not a chore to drink I wouldn't be wanting too much of this.

Hazy dirty amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Airy palate, semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Airy malts, a fair caramel streak, not particularly sweet. A floral and slightly spicy pine. Decent gin like botanicals. Airy finish. Okay then! A decent attempt at a Gin like beer. As a dipa, I would say this is a long way short of the mark. If it was sold as a gin like Barleywine, that would be a lot more sympatico with what has been brewed.

Bottle share at Grumbo's, cheers! Pours black with a small beige head. Aromas & tastes of liquorice, raisins, coffee, brown sugar, chocolate & roasted malt. Medium to full body. Light malty bitter finish. Highly enjoyable

Bottle ordered from a shop in Didcot or thereabouts... Southern League territory wherever it was. Aroma is boozy. Barrel and dark fruit. Underlying horlicks. Kreosote. Darkest brown. No head. Flavourwise we have a big dose of booze but also sour-edged fruit and dark chocolate. Fruit vinegar. Although molasses sweetness then appears into the finish. Medium-heavy bodied. Oily. Soft lazy carbonation. Long astringent finish. Big sour boozy Impy. Thought it must have been barrel aged but that's not the case.
