0.5l bottle from Brauliebe Hirz. Gusher... Shiny golden body, clear, lively carbonation, my glass didn't hold the head. Caramel and banana in the aroma. Smoothish caramel taste, bit of banana, light yeasty notes, mild autolysis, eh. Light peppery phenols, bitterish herbal finish. Okay, but maybe not in the best of shapes.

Bottle that we, me, Loz and Marko picked up yesterday from the brewery. Had this Saturday 14th February at the Manglham 2nd Winter Tasting listening to Jamie XX - In Waves. Pours clear gold with a white head. A little soft mouthfeel, in the mouth it's a touch on the sweet side, there's a little bit of bitterness, quite nice ...stop....stop...stop... I've been encouraged to try it again and take a bigger sample, okay agree with Jonas and Marko it's better than quite good 👍🏼 Score 7.4

0.5l bottle at Brauliebe Hirz, Fin got this one, shared at the Mangled Ham 2026. Very clear golden body, bit fleeting white head. Big floral, lightly herbal hoppy notes in the aroma, soft and pleasant. Smooth soft honeyish taste, bit gummy, berry touch perhaps, low low herbal and bitter touches, maybe traaaaace of sulfur. Oh, this is excellent! Really glad Hirz/Apostelbräu started brewing a lager again!

Bottle that Marko picked up today from the brewery. Had this Friday 13th February at the Manglham 2nd Winter Tasting listening to Anna Von Hausswolff- Iconoclasts. Jonas is cooking Pasta Carbonara. Pours almost clear gold, light hazy, again with a fast disappearing white head, better than expected. Nice in the mouth, nice bite, fruity, soft carbonation, a little fruit and creamy vanilla. Much better than expected.

Bottle from the brewery store at the Brauliebe Hirz, Mangled Ham 2026 tasting. Almost clear deep amber body, tiny off-white head. Caramel and sweetish plums in the aroma. Lean, dry taste, dried plums, low caramel, dried apricots, low herbal bitterish touches. Not bad, not memorable, would drink again!

Bottle 50 cl. Pours black with a burgundy hue and a small and creamy beige head. Surprisingly little aroma, perhaps a faint roasty note - very faint. Medium body, not really roasty but comes with a distinct licorice note. A finish more dry than bitter. Once more a very different stab at a beer style from Apostel. 181225
