Description
The Anstee family began supplying the hospitality trade in South Wales with beers, wines and spirits in the early 90’s. The knowledge and community ties established during this time gave us a real desire to see quality Welsh beer back on local bars. So much so we thought we’d brew some ourselves, starting out as the Kite Brewery in 2011. In 2015 and with our beers now winning awards and wider recognition we decided a new name was in order.

Cask at the last drop. Nose is chocolate, dried fruit, resin. Palate is vinious cocoa, oats, orange. A bit watery. Light fun, but I had stronger stouts with the same percentage.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - opaque black, decent fawn head. Nose - molasses, going into liquorice or even charcoal. Burnt raisin. Taste - molasses for sure, molasses all the way in fact, but there's a smoky edge, like the molasses has been burnt. Palate - medium bodied, tangy and somehow sweet and tangy at the same time. Dry tangy finish. Overall - good.
