About
The Anstee family began supplying the hospitality trade in South Wales with beers, wines and spirits in the early 90’s. The knowledge and community ties established during this time gave us a real desire to see quality Welsh beer back on local bars. So much so we thought we’d brew some ourselves, starting out as the Kite Brewery in 2011. In 2015 and with our beers now winning awards and wider recognition we decided a new name was in order.

Cask at the haymarket. Pours clear golden, nose is floral, musty toffee, taste is sweet, dry, grassy, floral, vegetive.

Cask- pours light golden, with a small white head. Hoppy fruity aromas. Taste- creamy malt, soft grassy hops, caramel malt, honey hints. Soft bitter hops. Solid.

Cask at the Red Lion, Amblecote. Pours gold with a medium head. Aroma is limey, pissy Citra. Taste has straw to start with a very bitter Citra finish.

Burnley Beer Festival 2015. Darker amber coloured bitter. Has a small sweetness in both its aroma and taste with a light bitterness.

On cask at the Haymarket. Appearance - close to opaque black but with some red chinks. Nose - chocolate and lime. A positive start. Taste - more sweet malt, chocolate and lime notes. Sometimes this style throws up marmalade because of the combination of chocolate malt and citrus hops but this is drier and mire resiny. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - a very enjoyable beer. Quite challenging but very satisfying.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2015, Great British Beer Festival, London Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London, England W14 8UX. [ As Glamorgan Welsh Pale Ale ].Clear medium yellow color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, light to moderate hoppy, earthy. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, fruity, pale malt, earthy. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20150811]
