Description
Welbeck is one of the great traditional landed estates bordering Sherwood Forest. It is home to an artisan village, producing specialist foods and crafts in a beautiful rural setting.
General Manager and brewer, Claire Monk, established our microbrewery in 2011. It’s housed in a beautiful listed barn at the heart of this community, and has steadily grown in size to meet the demand for good local beer. We also have some fabulous neighbours in adjacent barns, including a coffee roaster, chocolatier and bakery. All our products can be found at the Welbeck Farm shop in the Welbeck Courtyard.
The two guiding principles which underpin our brewery are to produce the best quality beer in the market, and provide our customers with exemplary service every time. Our head brewer, James, brews 15,000 pints a week which we supply into pubs, restaurants and specialist bottle beer shops within a 35 mile radius.

Bottle. Welbeck Abbey Farm Shop. The home of the best pork sausages for miles around. And it’s where Stichelton cheese is produced, too. Clear as a bell, medium gold. Decent white foam stays the course. Nose has sweet, nutty grain. Robust, leafy hop. Taste has a matching sweetness, with a leafy bitterness following up. Pretty smooth mouthfeel. Medium body. Fine carbonation. Lingering bitterness to finish. Nice golde.

Cask at Exeter Arms, Derby Pours a darkish red-brown (NOT jet black !!), with a small cream head. Nose is a strong scent of coffee. Taste combines the sweetness of dark fruits and plums, with the milkiness of coffee and cocoa. The sweetness just about wins out in the finish.

Cask-conditioned at the Gryphon, Bristol 31/10/2019. Golden in colour, with a slight, white, head. An easy drinking pale ale, with some citrus character, sweetish tangerine fruits, hint of honeyed richness and moderately dry finish. Good.
