General Manager and brewer, Claire Monk, established our microbrewery in 2011. It’s housed in a beautiful listed barn at the heart of this community, and has steadily grown in size to meet the demand for good local beer. We also have some fabulous neighbours in adjacent barns, including a coffee roaster, chocolatier and bakery. All our products can be found at the Welbeck Farm shop in the Welbeck Courtyard.
The two guiding principles which underpin our brewery are to produce the best quality beer in the market, and provide our customers with exemplary service every time. Our head brewer, James, brews 15,000 pints a week which we supply into pubs, restaurants and specialist bottle beer shops within a 35 mile radius.

Hand pulled half pint in the White Hart, Shifnal on 13th March 2026. Clean and clear golden body, white cap on top. Pleasant, easy going blend with a slight orange like flavour if you dig deep enough. Nothing exciting or stand out features, just a decent beer.

Gift from mate who is local to the brewery. Opaque gold with some haze. Thin foamy white head soon retreats. Aroma has citrusy and warming hops with malts for a marmalade effect. Bitter. More quinine than resin. Bitter lemon. Herbs. Underlying damp malta. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. More a very hoppy Old school twiggy brewer IPA than a West Coast. OK.

I’ll try a third time. Oxidised shite picked up at Welbeck. Not the first from this brewer in this condition. Won’t be bothering again.

Cask at the moon under water Watford Jdw. A clear golden orange coloured pour with a lasting white cap. Aroma is subdued, earthy grains, bread. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, rounded bready grains, orange rind, vague spicy nz hop. Midget gems. Palate is semi sweet, spicy, decent cask condition. Little bit muddled.

Bottle from a mate who likes nearby the brewery. Clear copper gold. Foamy white head. Aroma has citrus and soft malts. Flavourwise we have bitter citrus and quinine. Herbal element. Underlying light malts. Light. Thin. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Attempting to be a punchy hoppy Gold but it's quite raw.

Cask at the Last Post, Southend on 10th December 2025. Just shy of clear pale gold with shallow whitish foam and full lacing. Fruity and grassy hoppiness in aroma. Citrus zest and grassiness in-mouth and a blend of grassy hops and tangy fruits to finish. Smooth mouthfeel and a medium body. Very pleasant.
