About
To create new and unique beer styles that challenge people's perception of beer. In short: to create true Craft Beers.

The Brew By Numbers range features a handy naming convention, where the first number refers to the beer's style and the second number refers to the beer's recipe.

Initially a small scale brewer who first brewed in October 2012 based on Southwark Bridge Road, London. Moved to their current location, where a 10BBL plant is used, in June 2013.

Moved to a much larger site in Greenwich in 2021 running down the Bermondsey operation and closing it within a couple of years.

Can. Pours hazy pale straw with airy but plentiful white head. Clear aroma of yeast, malt and paper, with touches of citrus. Bitter, hoppy flavour with malty and citric notes and estery touches. Bitter and citric aftertaste with papery hints. Reasonable.

Can at Bottles & Books, Bristol. Pours opaque milky pink towards berry red with a cream cap. Aroma: light sour raspberry, cherry, spicy. Taste: moderate sweet, wheat, grains, some hop burn, tangy raspberry, sour cherry, pine. Medium body with spritzy carbonation. Not for me, prefer my double IPAs without the fruit infusion.

Creamy light brown head stayed on a still dark brown body. Roasted, cinnamon & chocolate aroma. Medium to thin bodied, smooth & soft with a cloying back. Just as it says on the can - orange, cinnamon & chocolate with hints of ginger & piney back. Lacking in body but a tasty drop.

Black beer, decent tan head. Strong coffee aroma. Lots of coffee in the flavour too, with a little cocoa, some toasty malt. A little of the ageing too. Decent.
