30/11/2019. Cask at the Dove Street Inn Winter Beer Festival. Pours clear mid brown with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of malt, sweet toffee, hops, fruit, nut and rye bread. Medium sweetness and light to moderate bitterness. Medium body, slight sticky texture, soft carbonation. Very drinkable.

500ml bottle [courtesy of Grumbo - thanks!]. Slightly cloudy. dark yellow-ish, golden colour with small, frothy, fading, white head. Fruity hoppy and sweet-ish, slightly biscuity, oaty malty aroma, notes of yellow apple, pear, a touch of lychee. Taste is sweet-ish malty and fruity hoppy, slightly diluted notes of yellow apple and pear, hints of oats; quite watery throughout.

Cask, GBBF. Brown color, no head. Caramel aroma. Sweet flavor with caramel. Some licorice. Glue-like bitter and caramel finish. Rather flat beer that isn't worth a retry.

ABV: 4.5%. Clear dark red brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, coffee, dusty coffee, roasted - chocolate. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, coffee, sweet coffee, dusty coffee, chocolate - roasted - dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20190808]
