Cask at the Guildford arms. Pours clear golden, nose is pine, grapefruit, toffee, cheesy, taste is dry, bitter, pine, slightly astringent.

On cask at the Bow Bar. Appearance - golden amber with a decent head. Nose - blood orange and pink grapefruit. Taste - more of the same. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - lovely.

Cask at the Bow Bar. Pours clear pale gold with a thin white head. Aromas of orange and elderflower as promised. Nose is very nice. Taste has a creamy note, elderflower a bit strong on the taste. Goes lightly astringent.

Columbus pale ale. 4.5% Cask at the Guildford Arms. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of nettles, faint citrus. Taste is more of the same. Light malt astringency on the dry finish.

On cask at the Guildford Arms. Appearance - golden with a decent head. Nose - mostly dry malt. A hint of citrus. Taste - light citrus and nettles but very faint. Mainly malty. Palate - light to medium bodied with a dry Overall - solid but uninspiring.

Cask (handpump) @ Crafty Crow, 102 Friar Lane, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire England NG1 6EB. [ As Imperial WW1 Special Ypres ].Clear medium to dark red brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, toffee. Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average to long duration, caramel, toffee. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20141012]

Leeds Beer Festival 2016. Very dark ale. Thin tasting although the vanilla is just about evident in what is a low flavoured stout. It’s quite crisp though.
