I used to work for Sophie Ellis-Bextor's stepdad. Probably not that interesting, nor does this beer have to be, just a hoppy very sessionable golden coloured brew. Pretty good for its low strength.

Bottle from Micro Beer Crate. Pours a light cloudy gold with moderate sized white head which recedes down to a nice top Floral, herbal and citrus zest aroma and taste. More of a blonde than a bitter. High fine Belgium blonde style carbonation, light bodied and refreshing. Another good bottled ale from Yorkshire Heart.

500ml bottle from Micro Beer Crate, online. Not heard of a Golden Best before - have they made that one up? Pours clear gold, moderate sized white foamy head, nice retention and some lacing. Aroma is biscuity and very floral with some grains also notable. Reminds me of my Nan's house, god bless her soul. Flavour is biscuit, flora, marmalade, cinnamon, grains. Interesting but only moderately tasty. Light to medium bodied, quite a frothy carbonation mouthfeel.

500ml bottle from Micro Beer Crate, online. Dark brown pour with big beige head, lovely looking head and retention, half a glass of lacing at the end. Looks stunning. Aroma is roasty, coffee, some blackcurrant noted hop, some spice. Taste is coffee and roasted bitterness softened with a blackcurrant and light-tart citric element, some grain, hint of spice. Near medium bodied with a nice smoothness, slight dry finish. These guys are a little underrated I think. This is my third bottled beer from them and they all look great and have good flavour.
