Cask at Shakespeare's ACH, Sheffield - Clear gold body, lacing white top. Slightly metallic start, citrussy hops follow, biscuity finish. Easy going, but not exactly groundbreaking.

Cask at Borehole, Stone. Pours a golden yellow with medium sized frothy almost white head and good lacing. Is very slow to settle but does so eventually. Aroma is rice and citrus. In the mouth it has sweetness overlaying some quite bitter flavours plus just a touch of sharpness. Citrus and lemon in the bitter portion, elderflower in the sweet with hints of melon and lemongrass too. Finish is dry and quite sticky. This is reasonable but left a nasty taste in the mouth !

Hand-pulled pint in the Telford Town Centre Spoons on 29th May 2025. Golden/amber body, soft off-white crown. Nice, easy going brew with a English orchard fruitiness over a solid malty base. Nothing over stated or different, just a pleasant pint.

Handpull cask at the Queens Road Tap, Leicester. Mid- to dark mahogany, opaque with a small beige head. Liquorice, earth, smoke in the aroma. Sweet taste with notes of Marmite, salt liquorice, molasses. Finish is far more bitter with intense English Hop nestling on the back of the tongue. Medium body with soft carbonation. Lymestone is one of the most inconsistent breweries out there, butvthey occasionally cone out with a gem like this.

Bottle at home while watching England thrash Wales. An excellent stout made all the better by the result of the match.

Cask at The Briar Rose, Birmingham. Clear light gold with small white head, nice lacing. Very much cherries in flavour, a touch bakewell tart, wafer like malts, light prickly hop finish. Quite tasty if a bit confected in adjunct but at the prices to get this in Wetherspoons its not surprising. A light to mid-bodied and slick body helps elevate this. Not bad.

Cask at the London & North Western, Birmingham. Clear gold with small white top. Quite fruity - picking up white grape, melon, apricot as well as a fusty floral note. Semi-drying and a little light in body. OK.

Cask at London & North Western, Birmingham. Clear amber/light copper with smooth beige head. Notes of roasted malt, chocolate, nuts, toffee. Quite full and rich, moderate sweetness with roasty and grassy hop bitter finish. Not a light best bitter for sure. Quite good.
