Bottle. Pours opaque mahogany with a small tan head that dissipates fairly quickly with decent lacing. Aroma is full of maple to me, plus vanilla, bourbon, marshmallow, mocha. Flavor is fairly sweet with light plus bitterness. Full body, silky tongue coating mouthfeel. Lingering rich sweetness and more maple.

Poured from a bottle. Aroma is super chocolate forward with some lighter vanilla and faint roast notes. Hints of alcohol with medium light bourbon barrel notes. Pours black with a small, dark mocha head. Light lacing and medium legs. Flavor is moderately sweet with some light alcohol spice in the finish. Tons of chocolate with some lighter roast and vanilla notes. Medium light bourbon barrel notes. Light bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium full to full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a pretty delicious stout. Sou much chocolate with lighter vanilla and the bourbon notes have settled down.

Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours clear, dark and ruddy with a transient tan head. Aroma of nice coffee, and with a super deep inhale, rum! Amazing aroma. Med + body. Flavor is coffee and rum in a light way, and the bourbon is hard for me to find.

Oxford tastings; vintage 2017
Brown color with red hue, no head. Very good aroma, intense, malt, red fruits, a bit vinous, alcohol. Syrupy and oily mouthfeel, viscous, very sweet, with strong malt flavor, and raspberry jam, vinous in the middle, honey depth, and warming alcohol in the final.
I like the balance of sugars and alcohol. Unbalanced syrup, but excellent drink.
