Panda thanks to Wingman. Mildly hazy dark amber brown beer, a small bubbly tan head last night time at all. Airy smooth palate, reasonable fine carbonation late on. Light smooth chocolate malts. Plenty of spice, a little dry and a little bitter. Fruity something underneath. Light finish. Not bad for the style, my panda was plenty and then some...

2018 bottle purchased on my first visit to the brewery on a Disney trip. Assume this was bought on our first trip post-COVID - so either 2021 or 2022. This beer is so fantastic and has held us so well over the years. Amazing! Can’t wait for the next trip as this and Green Cheek are the frolics during g fun Disney trips!!

Aromas are dark malt, roast, cocoa, yeast, and a hint of coffee. Flavors are similar to nose and a bit more sweet than bitter. Plus some odd herbal/floral component. Not really an asset although it does make it more interesting.

(Bottle, a sample, at Pien Shop, 20260821) The beer poured black. No head. Aroma had wood, vinous notes, vanilla, toasted malts and small amount of burnt malts. Palate was full bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were toasted malts, vanilla, vinous notes, sweetness, hint of burnt malts and bitterness. Aftertaste had toasted malts, vanilla, alcohols and bitterness. A tasty brew with strong base flavours combined with equally strong barrel notes.

Poured from 500mL bottle (2024 vintage). Dark brown with small beige head. Subtle coconut and coffee notes with underlying cacao nibs, some dark fruit and a feint hint of bourbon. Lots of flavours going on, but they don't all mesh together.
