Description
Classic infusion brewed beer from @SheffieldTap, and decoction brewed beer from @TappedLeeds.

Established in 2012, making use of newly renovated space in the Sheffield Tap. The Tapped brewery is a 4BBL (Brewers Barrel) kit. The Hot Liquor Tank, Mash Tun, Underback and Copper are all insulated and copper clad. There are two 2000 litre closed conical fermenters behind the brewery, these allow us to brew the same beer on two consecutive days and ferment them in the same vessel. The fermenting room to the side of the brewery houses a further four 1000 litre fermenters for single brews.

Cask-conditioned at the Angel on the Green, York 18/12/2019. Near black in colour, with a frothy, beige, head. Milk chocolate, coffee beans, a touch of liquorice, some leafy hops, leading to a toasty finish. Enjoyable.

Keg @ Tapped Leeds, Leeds. Clear golden with a creamy-frothy head. It has a sweetened pilsner taste with a more regular style aroma.

Tap. Tapped, Leeds. Mostly clear, lemon gold. Fine white head. Nose has sweet, bready grain. Stewed rhubarb. Bit of vanilla, although I might well be imagining that. Taste is fairly sweet, with a light tartness presumably from the fruit. Medium body. Could be cleaner. Fine carbonation. Dry and light bitter finish. Ok. Tasty.

Keg at the Sheffield Tap. Golden colour, white head. Aroma is German, light banana, yeasty, bit of citrus. Taste is alright, weizen with citrusy hoppiness. Alright. Creamy. Don't like the punny name, but the beer is nice enough. --- Beer merged from original tick of Miami Weisse on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:05 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 8.
