Description
Classic infusion brewed beer from @SheffieldTap, and decoction brewed beer from @TappedLeeds.

Established in 2012, making use of newly renovated space in the Sheffield Tap. The Tapped brewery is a 4BBL (Brewers Barrel) kit. The Hot Liquor Tank, Mash Tun, Underback and Copper are all insulated and copper clad. There are two 2000 litre closed conical fermenters behind the brewery, these allow us to brew the same beer on two consecutive days and ferment them in the same vessel. The fermenting room to the side of the brewery houses a further four 1000 litre fermenters for single brews.

Charles Lindbergh made the first transatlantic flight from New York to Paris. This American Flyer is a brown verging on mild in taste, sweetish and on the cusp of roasted.

Half-pint, cask ale, outside in sunny weather at Sheffield Tap. Hazy pale golden body, fair white head, spotty lacing. Inviting floral fruity smell. Mixed fruity flavours, including grapefruit and lemon. Wheat fruity finish. Refreshing and just okay. (Sheffield, 27.04.2025).

Half-pint, cask ale at outside at Sheffield Tap. Clear dark golden body, film-type layer, dotted spots on the glass. Fresh grassy hops with a note of lemon on the nose, promising. Plain taste of green hops and lemon. Discreet fruity bitterness to the finish. Quite refreshing after the train journey from Birmingham to Sheffield. (27.04.2025).

Cask. Sheffield Tap. Clear pale gold. Good white foam. Got to love a swan neck and a sparkler. Decent hop level behind sweet-ish grain. Good bitterness though. Good golde.

Cask pint at Sheffield Tap. Murky brown pour with cascading foamy head. Aroma is soft and toasty, malty, nutty. Cask gives the taste an exceptional smoothness, silky, toasty, malty, woody. This went down way too fast.
