Description
Classic infusion brewed beer from @SheffieldTap, and decoction brewed beer from @TappedLeeds.
Established in 2012, making use of newly renovated space in the Sheffield Tap. The Tapped brewery is a 4BBL (Brewers Barrel) kit. The Hot Liquor Tank, Mash Tun, Underback and Copper are all insulated and copper clad. There are two 2000 litre closed conical fermenters behind the brewery, these allow us to brew the same beer on two consecutive days and ferment them in the same vessel. The fermenting room to the side of the brewery houses a further four 1000 litre fermenters for single brews.

Well kept cask ale, house beer at New Oxford. Half-pint shared with Finn. Steady off-white head, misty golden body, clingy lacing. Inviting smell of oily hops, peaches to it. Peachy flavours supported by citric moments. Fair mid-dry bitter finish. A bit thin on the swallow. Pleasing. (Salford, 22.03.2024).

Cask. Sheffield Tap. Clear copper. Firm sparkler induced just of white foam. Presumably this is their version of Stones, that was formerly brewed at the Cannon brewery. Probably. It is reminiscent to be fair. Bready sweet teacake like malts and and earthy grassy hop. Bitterness throughout. Bit of sticky sweetness on the lips. Nice, although it’s a pity it was the first out the pump and hadn’t been pull through. But that’s this place for you.

Cask @ Drink? Hebden Bridge. Golden with a glow and a small head. Hoppy brew with a robustness about it, although remaining sessionable enough.
