Description
Duncan Sambrook founded Sambrook’s Brewery in 2008 when there were just five breweries operating in London. With his vision of bringing brewing back into the heart of London, Duncan pulled ex-brewer David Welsh out of retirement and back into his dungarees and wellies. To

Since 2008 we have been brewing beer in Battersea, but after 12 years on our current site we have decided to relocate a mile up the road to Wandsworth Town. Later in 2020 we will be brewing beer on the site of the Ram Brewery where we will launch our new tap room and visitor centre.

Cask @ Regal Moon, Rochdale. Darker golden with a thick creamy head. Sweet tropical fruit notes, evident in both aroma and taste dominate a session texture.

Cask at The Ice Wharf, Camden, London. Gold look with a decent cask bitterness attached to it. Very plain golden but easy going.

Cask at JDW Holland Tringham, London (27/03/2023) - JDW Spring Beer Fest 2023 (19th of 30) - toasted sweet malty with caramel biscuity malts, some fudge and toffee like sweetness, cereal, light hoppy fruity undertones with a dry malty finish.

Cask-conditioned, on gravity, at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol March 2023. Medium brown in colour with a slight, off-white, head. A malty bitter, with fruity sweetness, ripe, slightly earthy, malts and a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

[Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading.] A chestnut coloured pour with a thin cream head; orangey aroma; smooth and creamy in the mouth with a citrus taste; then a dry lemony finish giving the impression that this beer is rather thin.

Cask at Captain Alexander, Liverpool. Pours “bitter brown” with a small cream head and good lacing. Yeast is the mainstay of the aroma, along with malts and some traditional hops. In the mouth it is smooth with a creamy texture. Quite bitter with flavours of toast, plums, thick-cut marmalade and old English spangles. Finish is dry and slightly sticky. This is quite nice – surprisingly because I don’t normally like beers with kveik yeast.
