Duncan Sambrook founded Sambrook’s Brewery in 2008 when there were just five breweries operating in London. With his vision of bringing brewing back into the heart of London, Duncan pulled ex-brewer David Welsh out of retirement and back into his dungarees and wellies. To

Cask @ GBBF, 2011. Pours cloudy golden with a small white head. Lots of grain , hay and citrus. Ends dry and bitter.

(Cask at Harp, Covent Garden, London, 20 July 2011) Golden amber colour with lasting, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with citrus and apricots. Fruity, malty taste with notes of orange, apricots, biscuity malt and a certain sweetness coming through at the end. Medium body. Nice and refreshing.

From cask at Draft House - board said Samba. Pours cloudy yellow with a small and creamy white head. Mild citrusy, light butterish and cornish. Bitter, hayish and grassy. Bitter and light butterish finish. Not served in the best condition like a few other beers at this place - including keg beer.

Cask@The Draft House, Tower Bridge, London. Near black colour with a mediumsized beigeish brown head. Roasted malts, toffee, some wood and mild ashes in the aroma. Flavour is very similar in a nice balance.

Cask@The Draft House, Tower Bridge, London. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is malts, floral hops, some slight herbal notes. Flavour is malty, a bit spicy, caramelly, earthy and also has some nice floral hops to it. Pleasant.

Cask at Bree Louise, London. A hazy amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel as well as lighter notes of butterscotch, leading to a dry and bitter finish.

Cask at The Harp off Trafalgar Sq. Pours dark amber with a creamy off-white head. Light citrus? aroma. Flavor is very nice ripe light stone fruit with a touch of citric bitter. It’s just excellently fruity.
