On tap at Crewe Dog, Crewe. Pours a hazy pale straw with a small scummy white head and excellent lacing, and fairly high carbonation. There’s citrus and grapefruit sharpness in the aroma. In the mouth it starts off sharp and tart but also juicy. With flavours of lemon and citrus plus hints of pineapple. Later it becomes more conventionally bitter with floral hops and traces of mango leading to a dry and slightly sticky finish. Way too much citrus in this one for me.

Cask gravity at LHG Brewpub Bristol. Black beer lasting tan head. Coffee is quite over powering. Its certainly not subtle. Lots of camp coffee flavour. Light caramel presence. Some light liquorice too. Lots of coffee which settles down a bit but its still a bit powdery coffee rather than real coffee flavour

Last beer on an afternoon in Rochdale before I return next week for their bi-annual 'Ale Trail' weekend. A deep hazy pink coloured sour, it tastes like apple pie with a developing sourness in its aftertaste, although the initial taste has a sweetness. It's all pie in aroma.
