[Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell.] A hazy amber pour with a tight cream head; citrusy aroma; citrusy taste with a grainy body; and a lemony finish. Not bad, though an unusual choice of style for a Christmas beer.

[ As Maxim Swedish Blonde ].Clear medium yellow colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, pale malt, cookie, biscuit malt. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, sweet malt, cookie, pale malt, biscuit malt. Bottle at home. A good pour with a rich mahogany colour. The taste was that of a rich brown ale and was perfectly pleasant.

GBBF Day 3. Cask. Light haze on this gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and fairly dry, modest fine carbonation. Thin pale malts, dry grain. Modest orange hops, quite dry and pithy. Dry finish. Mildly bitter aftertaste. Too dry and grainy.

Cask at GBBF 2018. It pours clear golden with a small white head. The aroma is sweet, oily, perfumed, pear, pink marshmallow and melon. The taste is dry, bitter, oily, earthy, pithy, zesty, grapefruit, greengage, spice, straw and earth with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Not bad.
